Visual Designer

JadeLynx is dynamic and fun-loving IT company with customers all over the globe. We specialise in the development of online applications and portals for business, government and education. We are currently going through a major growth phase and complete re-brand.

We are looking for a full-time Visual Designer to join our dynamic team, working with local and international customers. You'll have an opportunity to really make an impact on managing the team and drive development processes. The role has a variety of responsibilities so there’s plenty of opportunity to build on your existing talents while working in a fun and varied environment.

Mandatory skills required:
  • 3-4 years experience within IT
  • A proven portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills (layout, hierarchy, typography, colour theory) and a strong attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to solve complex design problems
  • Experience in the development of information architecture diagrams, site-maps, wireframes and screen flows.
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or an equivalent
  • The ability to engage with and understand our client’s requirements and rationale
  • Scoping and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client management skills
  • Familiarity with software development life-cycle and commercial development procedures
  • Excellent English language skills
Personal Skills:
  • Highly motivated, efficient and well organised
  • Outgoing people person with a sense of humour
  • Creative, free thinker who can see solutions others cannot

We are looking for a energetic Visual Designer to work in a relaxed atmosphere. Someone who can jump in the deep end and get up to speed quickly.
Immediate availability is highly preferable. The role is Melbourne based.
